Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master 126655-0005 in 18K rose gold on an Oysterflex bracelet. The dial is set with sparkling diamonds. The rare and precious diamonds that Rolex carefully selects to bring out the splendour of its timepieces are the result of its in-house expertise and precision equipment for gem-setting. Experienced gemmologists select stones of the highest quality, each of which is designed to maximise its brilliance and blend harmoniously with its surroundings.
ROLEX Rolex sports watches have long been popular around the world, of which the Oyster Perpetual watch with its dense case design constructs excellent waterproof performance. Soon after its launch, it made a name for itself with the feat of swimming across the English Channel worn by British swimmer Mercedes Gleitze, who took the lead in establishing the concept of a waterproof watch in the era when touching a watch with water was still a taboo. As a result of the OYSTER’s waterproofing success, water sports competitors began to choose to wear this type of water-resistant timepiece for competition purposes. In addition to swimming, water sports, including boat racing, are also popular, and Rolex’s earliest association with sailing dates back to 1958. Today, the Yacht-Master bezel is available in precious metal, ceramic and even jewellery, giving it a distinctive character in the midst of sameness. It is also worth mentioning that the Yacht-Master is the only one of Rolex’s professional models to be available in two sizes (40mm and 37mm), allowing both men and women to wear it in their own style.
