This episode of Fratello On Air was recorded on the eve of “Watches and Wonders”. We discuss a few latest releases before turning to our main topic. We choose an accessory, a piece of clothing and a watch for each other. After all these years and countless shows, can we do it right?
Yes, we pick a replica watch for each other, an accessory, and an outfit. But first, let’s look at some versions of Watches & Wonders. The new IWC Ingenieur, the TAG Heuer Carrera Glassbox, and even Biver’s debut piece are among the pieces we discuss.
Before we start picking watches for each other, let’s take a look at the Handgelenks Kontrolle. Balazs started in Bari, Italy, with the Fratello × Nivada Grenchen racing chronograph. He was enjoying the heat while rocking a reverse Panda. Mike wears a watch he bought in 1994, an Omega Seamaster 120m Chronometer Automatic, model 2301.21.00. Nearly 30 years later, the yellow-gold bezel has turned bronze and looks great with the burgundy Horween shell soft leather strap.
We start with some accessories to get to our topic. Balazs found a cool Rimowa AirPods holder and thought Mike would like it too. For the Balazs, Mike recommends the iconic Chris Reeve Small Sebenza 31 Plain Insingo. it’s a no-nonsense tool that should last several lifetimes. Balazs stumbled upon Felco pieces for clothing, while Mike recommended his favorite western shirt from Clothier Double RL. Regarding the main event, Balazs digs deeper, satisfying Mike’s love of Japanese perfect replica watches with a limited edition Citizen “The Citizen” NC0206-18E. Mike went old school and felt it was time for Balazs to add a classic Rolex Submariner 5513 Maxi Dial to his collection.

The Rolex GMT-Master’s top-ever offering in 2023
Rolex produced more than just a stainless steel version of the ref. 6542. The brand also produced an all-18k yellow-gold version with a burgundy bezel. Rolex watch this model with two different dials; the first is the burgundy version that you see in the pictures. The second one is a lighter champagne dial. In addition, the handset is also different compared to the steel model. The gold version features classically styled Alpha hands instead of Mercedes’s hands.
Rolex used the 1565 automatic movement in the earliest versions until about 1965 or 1966 when later versions switched to the 1575 movement. When it comes to the dial, there is a clear difference between the early gilt dial and the matte black dial that Rolex used from 1966-67. There are many variations in the text on the dial as far as the different executions are concerned.
Next up is the replica Rolex MT-Master II ref. 16760, also known as the “Fat Lady” or “Sophia Loren”. This is a pivotal GMT-Master, as it is the first watch to uncouple the 12-hour and 24-hour hands, allowing the user to read up to three zones in combination with the bezel. Thanks to the new caliber 3085, Rolex used a thicker case, hence the nickname “Fat Lady”.
The fourth option on this list is the Rolex GMT-Master II ref. 116710. This model introduces a reinforced case and Cerachrom bezel insert. The stainless steel model 116710 was introduced in 2007. 116710 was introduced in 2007 and is in production until 2019. However, the stainless steel model was not the first to feature the Cerachrom bezel insert.
On Sale! Vintage Replica Rolex GMT-Master Spider Dial
Rolex made its debut in 1982 through the first GMT-Master II Rolex with a three-link Oyster bracelet and a five-link Jubilee bracelet and used tritium as the luminous material on the dial. Finally, the bezel features a red and blue Pepsi insert or all-black, much like the stainless steel Submariner produced in the same era.
Here’s where things get interesting. Replica Rolex originally released the Ref. 16750 with a matte dial and painted hour markers. This dial variation is much rarer than the glossy dial GMT, especially considering that many of the original matte dials have long since been replaced in routine maintenance. Rolex switched to a glossy dial in the mid-1980s, decorated with white gold-encrusted three-dimensional hour markers. Some of the glossy dials produced by Rolex during this period had defects in the finish that caused them to crack, a process known in watch collecting circles as “cracking.” These dials are now affectionately known as “spider dials” and are highly collectible as Rolex replaced many during routine repairs and service.
The “cracks” on a spider dial are made up of tiny cracks in the glossy lacquer. If you look closely at the dial, you will see that it does not affect the white text. It may be difficult to see at first, but the spider in the shine is most visible when the dial is tilted and viewed in bright light. It didn’t take Rolex long to recognize this defect and eventually replace the original lacquer material.
Rolex’s notoriously high-quality standards meant that the company could not consciously allow a fake watch with a spider dial to leave the repair facility without a new, flawlessly lustrous dial. For some, this is good news, as not every Rolex collector is a fan of this defect. However, some see it as one of the few odd and rare instances where Rolex makes a mistake on an important part of one of its most iconic timepieces.
For this reason, some collectors will pay more than “normal” Ref. 16750s for a spider dial. At the same time, finding such rare dials at prices comparable to models without them remains entirely possible. The GMT-Master 16750 is considered a highly prized collector’s item in its own right because of its relatively short production run.
Brand Perfect Gray Rolex Daytona from BT Factory
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen this imitation Rolex Daytona, and I haven’t introduced it from any of the watch factories since the Noob factory closed. This gray dial and black rubber strap Daytona is hot, and its popularity is second only to the Panda Daytona. Still, no other watch factory produced this top-quality Daytona after Noob closed. TW factory and JH factory also produce this Daytona, but I don’t recommend people buy it unless they are looking for a medium-quality one. Regarding the best replica Rolex Daytona replica, I still recommend the Panda Daytona from Clean, but for this gray Daytona, Clean does not produce it.
The best gray Daytona should be made by the BT factory (the better factory), and the BT factory only makes the highest quality. I said BT’s Panda Daytona is not as good as Clean V2’s, and that’s true, but for this gray Daytona, the best and only choice is BT.
Now in BT’s fake Rolex Daytona range, you can see many models in stainless steel, rose gold, and yellow gold. I think BT has the complete line of 1:1 accurate Daytona replica watches. However, BT is also very expensive, and some say that BT’s quality control must be improved.
BT’s Daytona is great, but I don’t know why they sell it at such a high price. Maybe BT thinks their Rolex Daytona is the best on the market. Many trusted dealers in the forum promote BT’s Daytona to convince customers that the best has to come from BT. Currently, they only have one competitor, Clean, that doesn’t release new models of Daytona, not improving their Daytona, so I think this is the main reason that explains BT’s ability to sell their clone Daytona at a high price. However, BT’s Daytona’s not perfect, including this gray Rolex Daytona. Sometimes I don’t recommend you buy from BT, especially when they release new models and their quality still needs to be tested. I think BT will lower the price of their Rolex Daytona when Clean produces more and pays more attention to improving the quality.
What are the cheapest Rolex models available?
The cheapest Rolex watch on the company’s website is the Oyster Perpetual, which retails for between $5,300 and $6,150, depending on your case size. It is the most affordable replica Rolex offering, as it forgoes precious metals in favour of an all-steel face.
In addition, the Oyster Perpetual is a time-only watch, which means it doesn’t have any additional functions, just three centrally mounted hands for hours, minutes and seconds. It is everything you need in a luxury watch, without the fancy bells and whistles. It is simple elegance.
However, many models produced today are nearly impossible to purchase at the retail level, including some OP variations. In this case, the secondary market is your best bet, with prices starting in thousands of dollars. Generally speaking, you can expect to pay anywhere from $3k upwards for an affordable Rolex watch.
The Rolex Air King is simultaneously one of the brand’s oldest and most affordable collections. According to Rolex lore, the Air-King was developed in honour of the British Royal Air Force pilots who fought in World War II. Thanks to its simplicity and reasonable price, the Air-King has gradually become a favourite among cheapest Rolex enthusiasts. Throughout the long history of the Air-King, four standout models offer incredible value.
In 2010, the Explorer line received the most extensive design update since its inception in the 1950s. The currently produced Explorer ref. 214270 now features a more significant 39mm Oyster case and is powered by the updated Caliber 3132 movement, which features Rolex’s new Paraflex shock absorber. This Explorer, model 214270, is an early addition to the collection and features the so-called Mark I dial, which includes solid white gold 3, 6 and 9-hour markers instead of the last luminous markers.
If a copy Rolex Datejust is more your speed, then the Datejust ref. 16234 or Datejust ref. 16200 are solid choices. This Datejust ref. 16234 is a more formal choice with its fluted white gold bezel on a 36mm steel case, Jubilee strap, and salmon-coloured dial. 16234 is the more formal choice. Alternatively, for a more sporty style, this Datejust ref. 16200 with its smooth steel bezel, Oyster strap, and Arabic numerals on the dial is a great choice.
Whether you choose the Air-King, Explorer, Datejust, or another more affordable Rolex watch, it’s clear that you’ll have plenty of options, regardless of your specific budget.
A vintage Rolex Explorer that most people like
Vintage Rolexes are very rare but attractive to many people. It is very difficult to buy a vintage Rolex produced in the old days and if you are lucky to find one on the auction market, the prices can be very high. Therefore, some people come to my blog and ask me where they can buy good quality vintage Rolex watches. There are some Rolex replicas in our watch market, most of them are Submariners, however, all Rolex replicas are not top quality, I mean, they are not the best quality compared to those replicas produced by the big houses like ARF, GMF, ZF, etc. But some of them look good and can satisfy your love for vintage Rolexes.
The vintage Rolex I’m talking about is an Explorer, made by a small factory here, I don’t know its name, maybe it’s a factory that usually made vintage Rolex before, for example, Submariner 5580, Daytona Paul Newman. Just from the pictures alone, I like this Explorer Rolex watch.
It has a different case than the modern Rolex Explorer, it looks a little bigger, especially the case, which looks stronger and more durable. The crown is screwed down and there is not much on the outside, almost all the parts are under the protection of the crown guard. The entire case is brushed and I have no idea of the diameter or thickness of the case. The case back is solid and smooth, and the bracelet is attached to the case in a different way than today’s Rolex Explorers.
The dial is black and all the hour markers and hands are white, except for the orange 24-hour hand in the center. At the top of the dial, I don’t think it’s a sapphire crystal, probably a mineral glass face. The hour markers are square bars, the bar at 6 o’clock and the triangle at 12 o’clock are much larger than the others. By the way, this vintage Explorer II does not have Arabic numerals on the dial. The movement inside is the Asian clone ETA 2836, a movement that used to be widely equipped in the cheap replica watches, but now, Super Clone Rolex does not use this movement now, and almost all other Swiss brands of watches also choose to use the Japanese Miyota 9015. However, the clone 2836 still has an important place in the market, and it is necessary for a moderate-quality replica Rolex watch.
2022 Best Rolex Daytona Automatic
About 20 years ago, Rolex removed the manual-winding Rolex Daytona model from its catalog and replaced it with a modern version, featuring not only modern details such as a larger case, refreshed dial, and sapphire crystal, but also an automatic movement to drive the chronograph. Like the original Daytona collection, the second series reached cult status among Rolex fans, due in large part to the limited production of this particular model.
While the era of replica Rolex automatic chronographs continues to this day, a major update occurred in 2000. At that time, Rolex replaced the Zenith El Primero 4030 movement, which had powered the automatic Daytona chronograph since 1988, with the fully in-house developed Rolex caliber 4130, which remains the engine of the Daytona collection today.
The model numbers of Daytona watches indicate the series in which they were originally made. The first series Daytona has a four-digit model number; the second series Daytona has a five-digit model number, but the third series Daytona has a six-digit model number. All second and third series Daytona watches were self-winding chronographs, while the first series was a manual-winding chronograph.
Today, Rolex maintains its reputation for precision timekeeping and excellence in timekeeping that no other watchmaker in the world can compete with. From its humble beginnings in 1905, Wilsdorf’s dream of making quality watches exceeded even his expectations. The modern Rolex company produces more than 2,000 replica watches a day, bringing in billions of dollars in revenue each year at https://www.ticketwatches.com.
The original Daytona collection, featuring a smaller 38mm case and a hand-wound movement based on the Valjoux, was produced from 1963 until 1988. Perhaps most surprisingly for any Rolex buyer today, the Daytona models were initially cheaper than other Rolex models. Today, however, these original Daytona models are considered the ultimate prize for collecting vintage Rolex watches; many enthusiasts regard them as the “Holy Grail” of Rolex watch collecting.
One of the more popular modern Rolex collections is the Daytona, which debuted in 1963. As the name suggests, the Daytona collection was inspired by motorsports and caught the attention of race car drivers – including legendary actor and racing enthusiast Paul Newman. From the 1970s until his death in 2008, Newman reportedly wore a Rolex Daytona every day, and it is because of him that vintage Rolex Daytona watches with exotic dials are now famous as “Paul Newman Daytona” watches.
The Best Entry-Level Rolex Oyster Perpetual
Almost all modern Rolex watches have the words “Rolex Oyster Perpetual” in their name, but the replica Rolex portfolio actually consists of only two main collections of watches: the Professional and the Classic. These are timepieces with water-resistant Oyster cases. The Professional line contained perhaps the most recognizable names, such as the Submariner, Daytona, Explorer and GMT-Master tool watch models. Each was designed to do a specific job, whether it’s recording dive times, lap times, or time in another country.
The Classics also have some heavy hitters, such as the Day-Date and Datejust, the former being the ultimate statement of prestige and achievement, and the latter being an iconic all-rounder that is often considered the quintessential Rolex watch. Overall, the Classic is the simplest of the bunch, both aesthetically and in terms of complications.
Technically speaking, every watch produced by Rolex is an Oyster Perpetual. The name comes from the water-resistant “Oyster” case, which makes each watch water-resistant to at least 100 meters, and the self-winding “constant-motion” movement developed by the brand in the early 1930s. As a result, the model we commonly refer to as the “Sea-Dweller” is actually officially known as the “Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller” – and this is true for the vast majority of Rolex self-winding watches with water-resistant cases.
However, there has always been a separate line of replica watches where everything extraneous is stripped away, leaving only three hands to tell the time, not even something as inconspicuous as a date display. This is officially the Rolex Oyster Perpetual, the brand’s least expensive and arguably most comprehensive offering. While the Oyster Perpetual represents the entry point to Rolex ownership, the model has become almost inaccessible at the retail level since the collection’s most recent update in 2020.
Like its closest cousin, the Datejust, the modern Rolex Oyster Perpetual was created to appeal to as many people and tastes as possible. It currently comes in a total of five different sizes, starting at 28mm and going all the way up to 41mm.
Delving into its long history, you will find a number of precious metal versions in 9K, 14K and 18K gold – both yellow and pink. It was also one of the first fake Rolex watches to be released in Rolesor, the brand’s own term for the two-tone fusion of stainless steel and yellow gold on a single watch. Today, all Rolex Oyster Perpetual watches are forged entirely from stainless steel, underscoring the brand’s longstanding status as an entry-level model.
Rolex Oysterquartz Watches of the 1970’s
When Rolex finally introduced the Oysterquartz model in 1977, its true uniqueness lay in its in-house movement. Caliber 5035 was installed in the quartz-powered Datejust watch along with caliber 5055, which was used to drive the equivalent Oysterquartz Day-Date. Rolex did not want to completely reinvent the wheel, so the two movements share some of the same components found in the new generation of traditional mechanical movements that power the recently released automatic replica watches.
Interestingly, the underlying design of the replica Rolex quartz mechanism is largely based on the concept of a traditional escapement, with the key exceptions being the electronics and the impulse motor. Yet, the Rolex quartz movement is leaps and bounds better than anything a traditional mechanical movement can achieve in terms of timekeeping performance. Compared to the Beta-21, Rolex uses an oscillator that is four times faster and is equipped with a thermistor, making it one of the first-ever analog thermally compensated movements. The quartz technology combined with Rolex’s quest for perfection makes these watches so precise that they easily pass the necessary tests for COSC chronometer certification.
The Oysterquartz Datejust is available in three models: stainless steel, Rolesor stainless steel, and yellow gold, and Rolesor stainless steel and white gold. Part of the larger Datejust collection, the Oysterquartz Datejust also boasts some of the model’s most iconic features, such as the date window at 3 o’clock enlarged by a Cyclops lens, albeit with a major aesthetic overhaul.
A unique feature of the Oysterquartz movements is that they tick very loudly, especially when compared to their mechanical movement-driven siblings. You will also notice that the second’s hand beats in 1-second increments, a telltale sign of a quartz watch, rather than sweeping around the dial like the second’s hand of a traditional mechanical watch.
